Thursday 10 October 2024 October Afterwork is now on 10th!
October Afterwork:
With octoberfest on Oct 4th, we are moving our first Thursday to the 2nd Thursday (10th of October) and mixing it up with a cultural event.
Join the Nordics Club as we attend Henrik Ibsen’s (a Norwegian playwright) groundbreaking theater play Ghosts. Originally titled Gengangere, meaning both “those who return” and “events that repeat,” this powerful drama explores the struggle to break free from societal conventions and the lasting impact of the past.
First performed to great controversy, Ghosts remains relevant today, addressing timeless themes like morality, hypocrisy, duty, and personal sacrifice. The play challenges us to consider the role of free will and how much our past shapes our future.
If you want to sit with the other Nordics, send an email to nordicsclub@gmail.com by Sunday, 29th of September with the number of tickets you want (35 CHF each) and we will be buying tickets for those who confirmed and will then ask for payment.

Saturday 26 August 2023 Canceled due to weather. Tree-Top Climbing (Accrobranche) and Picnic
Canceled due to weather
Join us on Saturday, 26th of August at 12:00, for something new this year – Accrobranche, also known as tree climbing or forest adventure, is an outdoor activity that originated in France, offering a unique blend of adventure, sports, and nature appreciation. It involves navigating through a course of ropes, bridges, swings, and zip-lines suspended between trees, typically in a forest or woodland setting. We will do it in a convenient location in Geneva – accessible both by car and bus in Onex. After the Accrobranche, we will do a picnic where everyone brings something to eat or drink.
Accrobranche is suitable for a wide range of individuals – from children and families to adventure enthusiasts and groups like us. Joining an Accrobranche activity is a great way to break away from the mundane and immerse oneself in the thrilling embrace of nature. It provides a unique perspective on the forest’s canopy and wildlife, offering a bird’s eye view that few other activities can.
Prices:
- Adults 40 CHF for members, 45 CHF for non-members
- Children depending on age 14-26 CHF for members, 19-31 CHF for non-members
