Orphanaid Africa
OrphanAid Africa was founded by Lisa Lovatt-Smith in October 2002 with the mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children in Ghana. The organization works to ensure that no child has to grow up without a family, promoting programs that support family reunification, education, and sustainable community care.
Lisa’s journey began when she volunteered at children’s homes in Ghana, where she encountered over 100 destitute and abandoned children in need of care and support. This experience was so transformative that she made the life-changing decision to move to Ghana permanently. Driven by the belief that every child deserves love, security, and a future, she established OrphanAid Africa with the goal of preventing institutionalization and helping children grow up in loving family environments.
Through various programs, the organization provides educational support, healthcare access, and advocacy for child welfare reforms, ensuring that vulnerable children can build a brighter and self-sufficient future. With the support of donors and partners, OrphanAid Africa continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families in Ghana.
Your donation helps provide essential support for these children, giving them access to education, healthcare, and a nurturing home environment. Every contribution brings hope and a better future to those in need.Donations details:
